Prof Alan Yeung

DTL, PhD, Adjunct Professor, City University of Hong Kong

For nearly 40 years, Prof. Yeung has been teaching and working at City University of Hong Kong. Using an ""experiment-based"" teaching approach, he has trained students to engage with society and contribute to the development of various network technologies. This innovative method earned him the university's annual ""Teaching Excellence Award."" Moreover, he served as a hall master, striving to cultivate a family-like culture within the hall to positively influence students. This effort earned him the nickname“The Father of Hall 6"".

Prof. Yeung and his wife have devoted their lives to the mission of “Family Based Disciple Making."" Drawing from their experience in nurturing the spiritual growth of their three sons and their work in university discipleship training, they have developed a framework for this mission. The framework includes vision, theory, research, and practical guidelines. They have shared this vision through books, theological seminaries, and Chinese churches worldwide.

Based on his professional expertise, Prof. Yeung believes that modern urban transformation must deeply consider its relationship with the technological world. Through his lifelong ministry, he is also firmly convinced that only the gospel can bring about the transformation of individual lives and families—an indispensable aspect of urban transformation.
