For over two decades, Dr. Benny Chan has dedicated his professional career to risk management, compliance and security governance within the global financial services sector.  He has served as the Asia Pacific Head of Corporate Security and Risk at one of the world’s leading global financial institutions.  Prior to his career in the financial sector, he was a police officer in the Hong Kong Police.

Benny leverages his profound professional expertise through tertiary education, professional training delivery and risk consulting services.  Since 2008, he has served as a part-time lecturer in various higher education institutions.  He takes office as the General Secretary of The Chinese Rhenish Church Hong Kong Synod in August 2026.
